“The current sanctuary was built in the 19th century, in the same place where the old 10th century Romanesque Parish of San Cristóbal de Creixenturri was located, which was destroyed by the 1428 earthquake.
In the 16th century, the image of the Virgin Mary of Remei, which was in Creixenturri Castle, toppled in 1554, was transferred.
