Hiking in stages

A number of trails and routes are so long that they cover the whole of El Ripollès and even neighbouring areas, making it necessary to break them down into stages that allow you to fully appreciate their cultural wealth, heritage, scenic diversity and cuisine.

  • Oliba path

    It is a journey through the origins of Catalonia, where characters like the bishop and abbot Oliba, decided to repopulate and Christianize these lands spreading them with Romanesque churches and monasteries. It runs between Montserrat and the Pyrenees, and passes through some of the most historic cities in Old Catalonia: Manresa, Vic, Ripoll and Sant Joan de les Abadesses.

  • Ter Route

    The Ter Route is a route that links two tourist magnets such as the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava, by a route that follows the river Ter, which crosses five regions of Catalonia. The route can be done on foot or by bike. It offers the opportunity to learn and discover the River Ter from its source in Ulldeter, 2.200 m, to its mouth in the Mediterranean, the Gola del Ter (Estartit).

  • Way of the Origins

    The Camí dels Orígens is a mountain route that connects the Conflent with the Ripollès, ancient counties that contributed to the birth of Catalonia in the ninth and tenth centuries, twinned since 2013.

  • Camino de Santiago

    The route through the Ripollès connects Coll d’Ares (from Perpignan) through Ripoll until Vic, where it will connect with the main trunk of the Camino de Santiago in Catalonia.
