This demanding route takes you to Collet de les Barraques, located under the Puigmal mountain, in the middle of Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser Natural Park.
Route description
The route starts in Ribes de Freser, which you can reach by train or park your car opposite the Ribes Valley tourist information office. Start the route on the GIV-4011 to El Baell, where you take a concrete road (12 km) to Campelles. Then take another concrete road to Planoles (17 km). Cross the village and take the road that leads up to the Collet de les Barraques mountain pass (1,910 m), which is 9 km long with gradients of 7 to 9%. At the top, turn around and head back down the same road to Planoles, where you can take a concrete road to Ventolà and the final descent to Ribes de Freser and the point where you started.
