Coll de Jou following the Cavallera range
This route allows you to cover much of the Cavallera range and enjoy spectacular views. Take into account that much of the route is on concrete roads.
Route description
The route starts at Sant Pau de Segúries, where there is a car park that caters to motorhomes, on Carrer del Ter. Take the N-260 towards Ripoll and Ribes de Freser. Ribes de Freser marks the start of the Coll de Jou mountain pass (1,637 m), which is 12.3 km long with gradients of 5 to 9%. Bear in mind that from Bruguera to La Colònia Estabanell the road is concrete (approximately 32 km). At some points of the descent from the pass the gradient may exceed 15%. At the crossroads turn left towards Camprodon and continue on to Colònia Estabanell. Then take the N-260 to Sant Pau de Segúries to return to where you started.
