Sant Pere d’Aüira – Route 17
Although it is a red route, its degree of difficulty is not very high.
The starting point is in front of the geriatric hospital located on the GI 401 road towards Gombrèn. Take the concrete street that goes up to Vista Alegre and the cemetery to the left. By track we will reach the Coll de la Batalla and continue up the track to the Romanesque church of Sant Pere d’Aüira (12th century). From above we enjoy an excellent panorama of the Taga, the Sierra de Sant Marc, the Tubau plains, the Freser Valley, the Corones cliffs …
We will return downhill through Pruners, Grats and L’Empalme. From L’Empalme we follow the GI-401 road to the church of Sant Llorenç de Campdevànol, where we will take the main and cattle road until we return to the starting point of the route.
