“We start the route at Plaça del Raig, located at the entrance to the town, and continue along Carrer Pla.

We arrive at the Plaza de la Vila, where we can enjoy the fantastic views of the viewpoint next to the Town Hall.

We continue up Carrer de l’Església until we find the church of Sant Jaume, where its portico formed by six arches supported by blue marble columns stands out. The capitals show human, animal and fantastic figures.

The church of Sant Jaume was consecrated in the 10th century, and two centuries later it was rebuilt to coincide with the increase in population in the area. The building, with a single nave, is covered with a pointed vault, replacing the previous one that was damaged by the earthquakes of 1427 and 1428. Later, the bell tower, the sacristy were added and the nave was lengthened; it is also enlarged with two side chapels forming a small transept.

To the left of the Church we see a path where there is an indicator of the route, we follow it and after a few meters we find a turnoff, we continue up the path on the right until we find a second turnoff where an itinerary indicator is found. We continue down the path on the left.

We reach the Boscàs bridge, a beautiful stone bridge that helps us cross the Tosa river.

We start a hard climb into the Boscàs, a beautiful and shady place with lush vegetation.

During the ascent through the forest we are surprised by a pattern (stone landmark) and a large pine, a good time to rest and regain strength.

We continue uphill until we find a track, which we follow to the left. We cross the torrent of La Mina and a few meters further we find the Serrat de la Llosa, a place where the forest clears and shows the village of Queralbs surrounded by its imposing mountains.

We follow the path until we reach the road, where on our right is the set of farmhouses that make up the town of Vilamanya, located on Rialb, at an altitude of 1,250 m.

From here we can see the town of Fustanyà from a unique perspective and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Ribes Valley.

We return along the same path, which allows us to enjoy again the beautiful path that connects Queralbs and Vilamanya.”
