Head out from Ripoll down the Freser River to Campdevànol to enjoy this pleasant first section on the shady side of the mountain. In Campdevànol take the Royal Path towards Gombrèn. On this section, which runs almost parallel to the River Merdàs, you can delight in the natural beauty of the area’s riverside flora. You will see interesting sites like the popular Sant Eudald spring, La Font del Querol picnic area and the parish church of Sant Llorenç. Once in Gombrèn, you can enhance your stay with a visit to the Comte Arnau Museum.
