Take the old road from Gombren up to the Montgrony shrine and the Romanesque church of Sant Pere de Montgrony. The singular beauty of this site, which can be admired from a spectacular watchtower, and the legends of the mythical medieval Count Arnau imbue the entire area with magic. From there you go through the Coma Ermada mountain pass and start your ascent up the Costa Pubilla, the highest point in the Montgrony range. On the way down to Planoles you can see the monumental fir tree of El Torrent de la Cometa and the Roca Aguda rock formation.
