Head up from Espinavell to the Serrat de la Perdiu range and Fabert. After leaving behind the rustic houses of this hamlet, head to the Puig de les Basses de Fabert mountain pass, which is some 1,600 m above sea level and separates the counties of El Ripollès and Vallespir. From there you can enjoy spectacular views of part of Vallespir and the Canigó massif. Follow the route down to the Mir medieval watchtower, which was built in a strategic location to keep watch over Prats de Molló and the surrounding area. Continue the gentle descent to Prats de Molló.
