Start this stage heading in the direction of Portella de Morens. Once you have reached the top of this extremely wide high plateau, which straddles the border between Catalonia and France, continue through the area known as Camp Magre to Portella de Concròs and the peak of Roca Colom. This point offers very good views of the Concròs cirque and its pond. Before long you will reach the Coll de Pal pass, which is very close to the peak of Costabona, whose skirt you will flank as you head southeast along the Finestrol range. The next target is the Coll Pregon mountain pass between the Camprodon Valley and Vallespir, which was used as an escape route by thousands of people to flee Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War. From there, head down to the village of Espinavell.
