Puigmal is probably the most emblematic peak in the Eastern Pyrenees, it is the highest in the area with 2910 meters above sea level. It is located just above the Vall de Núria, a beautiful valley surrounded by peaks of almost 3000 meters which makes it an ideal place for hiking.
We suggest you climb the summit of Puigmal with snowshoes from the Vall de Núria. It is an advanced level outing, as we will have to save 950 meters of positive gradient to reach the top, in total it will be about 7 hours of hiking. From the top we will have privileged views. Both the return journey is the same route.
