The Albéniz Museum

Created from donations from his descendants, the museum seeks above all to recreate the atmosphere that was part of the artist’s life.

We find extensive personal documentation, such as the birth certificate, letters to friends such as Pau Casals, Enric Granados and Gabriel Fauré, original handwritten scores (such as that of the Iberian Suite), books from his personal library, as well as a number of paintings and photographs, as well as personal belongings: the composer’s bedroom and his wife, the vertical piano of his sister Clementina (where he first played at the age of two or three) and a magnificent grand piano Beschtein that Francis Money-Cutts gave to his daughter Enriqueta when he married).
