Two days of snowshoeing sleeping in the Coma de Vaca Refuge

Experience of sleeping in a Refuge.

Us presentWe present to you the unforgettable experience of going to sleep in a high mountain refuge in the middle of winter. This trip will cover a large part of the Capçaleres del Ter and Freser Natural Park.

Day 1: We will make the excursion with snowshoes leaving the ski resort of Vallter 2000 and we will go through its black pine forests until we reach the famous Coll de la Marrana. From up here we can enjoy spectacular views, to the east the Canigó, the north faces of the Gra de Fajol petit and the Gra de Fajol gran and to the west we will find the emblematic peaks of the Pic de l’Infern, Balandrau, Torreneules and its feet our goal, the Coma de Vaca Refuge where we will spend the night. From the Coll de la Marrana we will go down the whole of the Vall del Freser (source of the river Freser) until we reach the refuge nestled in a very beautiful and lonely valley.

Route: 7 km and +450 mts. -550 mts.

Day 2: We will wake up at the Coma de Vaca Refuge and after the good breakfast they will prepare for us, we will return to the Freser Valley where we will see a different perspective to the one we saw the day before.
